The EMRS DTC will be opening its Annual Call for research proposals, open from Friday 10th October 2008 and closing on Wednesday 31st December 2008 for projects starting in April 2009.
The call is open to Universities, SMEs, Research Centres and Large
Companies with relevant, low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) research
capability in Electro-Magnetic Remote Sensing and it's enabling
technologies.
Participating organisations gain full funding by the DTC for their
research, while retaining ownership of their IPR. The sponsors of the
DTC, UK MoD, gain rights of use for internal UK government purposes. The
EMRS DTC consortium companies gain rights of use only for EMRS DTC
purposes. This mechanism leaves science providers free to exploit their
research in both military and civil domains. The framework has been
created in this manner to attract the best researchers and most
innovative ideas towards UK defence research.
The call for proposals will be supported by two Bidders' Conferences:
Each of these Bidders' Conferences will start at 9:30am, and will
conclude at 1:00pm.
It is necessary to register for these Bidders' Conferences. Please send an email detailing your name, organisation, telephone number and e-mail address to Caroline Harvey.
Your registration needs to be with us one week in advance of the appropriate bidders' conference.
